What to expect
One of the most popular tourist attractions in Budapest is the huge market hall on Fővám Square. But before you enter the more than a century old building you will be greeted on the famous pedestrian street and get aquainted into the most famous shops on Váci Street! Your guide will meet you in front of the Hard Rock Cafe in the middle of Vörösmarty Square and after a brief introduction to the history of the Hungarian kitchen you will start your journey into the particular world of this market. You will have a chance to taste all of homegrown goods at various different stands of the market.
Sample warm scones with several Hungarian salamis such as winter or mangalica salami and a super-spicy one for the most courageous! If this wasn’t enough, you can chase it down with a wide range of selectable pickled foods like cabbage, melons and naturally, pickles.You will have the chance to taste the true Hungarian Lángos which is a deep-fried Indian flatbread usually served with garlic.
